Why I Dont Mind People Who Hate On Blog Sites...

Aight, let me break this down so it shall henceforth now and forever be broken...A lot of people ask me how I deal with all the hatin comments that people tend to leave whenever my music is posted up. And on the surface level for my friends who probably dont want to hear the scientific method behind my lack of a fuck given, I tell them simply "people are gonna hate mo matter what you do." General Hood Principle says that if you're not gettin hated on than you're not doing enough. So I dont mind, must mean I'm doing something right.

Now to those of you who respect science, and can appreciate math equations, lets do the math on how many people are actually hating, and how insignificant that number actually is in the grand scheme of things.

For the sake of argument, we'll take the last track that I blasted out, "Goin Off" (shameless self plug for the record I sent out yesterday).

Now remember these numbers are as current as when I wrote this post so by the time you click on taht zShare link to listen or download, they'll most likely be a little higher...

Now at the time of the screenshot, there were 697 downloads. Of those 697 downloads, 12 people chose to leave a comment on 2dopeboyz.com (shamleless plug for Shake & Meka). Now lets do the math:

12 (people who commented) / 697 (total downloads) = 1.72% (% of people who downloaded that commented

now lets say that 4 of those comments were direct hate...

4 (# of direct hatin comments) / 12 (total comments) = 33%

but, if we look at that number in terms of total downloads then it becomes:

4 (# of direct hatin comments) / 697 (total downloads) = .6% (% of people who downloaded who left a hatin comment)

so in other words, less that 1% of all the people who listened to the song actually left hate. Now thats a number that I'll be fine with every time out. So for the people who respect the scientific method, the reason that I dont give a fuck about a hater is because when it comes down to it, they're just not statistically significant to give a fuck about. I guess they've earned about 1/200th of a fuck...hahahahaha

Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Ignorance

So me and Ouiceezy are having our average everyday conversation when she asks me if I've seen Whitney Houston's album cover to which I respond, "Why no Ouiceezy I haven't, send it..." to which she replies with a link to the above.

Now ladies and gentleman, Whitney Houston is a crackhead, or reformed crackhead depending on what you believe. I dont believe that "I'm too rich for Crack" shit she tried to pull a couple years back...Bobby had the twitch...and Cokeheads and Crackheads dont mix well together

is it just me or does it look like they put her airbrushed (heavily airbrushed) head on top of a fitness model or something?

"It's the newest Senator, the Gentleman from Harlem / the way my hype lookin you gotta call me Obama"
-ESSO from "The New Government" -2007

I'm not gonna sit here and call myself a genius. I'm not gonna tell you that I was the first to really say something about Obama music wise or do an Obama themed project. I'm not gonna sit here and say any of those things, because honestly anything that I could possibly say right now has been made completely irrelevant by the INCREDIBLE moment in American History that we all were witness to last night.

Here's to the power of dreams, the power of hard work, determination, dedication, the self made man and every other American ideal that was reborn last night with Barack Obama's victory in the Presidential election. Here's to the kid growing up that can now realistically dream of being a President or a Senator instead of only being able to dream of being a rapper or an athlete. Here's to all the rappers and athletes that thought they could never be President or Senators.

Every one of us is going to have our own story, remember where we were, what we were doing, and who we were with when Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States. I could have partied last night, I could have been drunk or high to watch the election, I could have been almost anywhere in the world. I chose to spend Election day with my 92 year old grandfather, who has lived through segregation, the Civil Rights Movement, served during World War II and is one of my personal heroes. The moment that they called the election for Obama is something that I'll never forget. None of my personal aspirations really mattered at that point. America had finally began to repay my grandfather, and the generations before them.

To those who came before us who paved the road to the White House for Barack Obama. To the slaves who helped build the White House, to the leaders who shed their blood and gave their lives so that one day we could be here having these conversations and be lost in this moment. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.

Where were you?

I hope Angela doesn't kill me for using this picture but it just fit so well...It's been a good couple weeks, CMJ was retarted, tore it down at Public Assembly and then went in again at the Knitting Factory for Donny Goines "BARS Live" show.

Anyway, just to let u kno where this came from, I enjoy goin out, gettin twisted and partying like the Young & Ignorant individual that I am. And in the midst of all that, sometimes you catch the eye of someone that catches your eye and things lead where they lead.
